I know that the hicas on 90 twin turbo's operates on the power steering system. I also know it doesn't work when the power steering system has a fault.
The question is does the rear steering rack lock out when there are problems with the power steering. I know it has lock out valves but I just want to make sure.
I only ask because I have a 2 hour drive that I have to use the Z for and my power steering rack is in need some love. I'm kind of terrified of the rack going the rest of the way out and me having to pull over and take the belt of the power steering pump so It wouldn't burn out. Then driving off the side of the interstate randomly because the Hicas was left free.
